Wouldn't that void the warranty? There is a seal sticker on it and if you separate it to apply silicone I would think you voided your warranty.

It would be an awesome addition to have a "cover" or weatherproof enclosure so these units could be mounted outdoors on the incoming line to be able to collect sprinkler data as well.
