Copper type M vs type L

How does pipe type (M vs L) effects the readings?

I don't know what pipe type do I have in my house - how does pipe type affects the reading? 

Should I compare accumulated reading with my water odometer and adjust the pipe type if it to fast/slow?

Can I change pipe type do this without re-doing the installation?

  Hi Igor,

   

  When you install your Monitor, the device will be able to detect between type M and type L copper pipes. Whichever type the Monitor detects during installation is the type you should use.

  Thank you, Rachel - this was not clear from the installation process.

  When doing installation I had a feeling you still need to select it manually.
